Ingredients

  • 2 bake-at-home baguettes
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 150 g butter
  • 20 g fresh parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste (a pinch)
  • 20 g Pecorino cheese or other hard cheese alternative

Method

  1. If you are using an oven to cook your garlic baguette, preheat it to 400F | 200C.
  2. Make your garlic butter by combining the softened butter with minced garlic, cheese, seasonings, and chopped parsley. If using a blender, blitz the butter, garlic, and cheese, then stir in the parsley.
5 cloves of garlic, 150 g butter, 20 g fresh parsley, salt and pepper, 20 g Pecorino cheese
  3. Cut approximately 12 slices in your baguette (roughly 2-3-inch thick slices) but stop before you cut all the way through the baguette.
    2 bake-at-home baguettes
  4. Use a thin knife or small spatula to slather the slices and top of the baguette with your garlic butter.
  5. Wrap your baguette in foil.
  6. Place the foil-wrapped garlic bread in your air fryer for 10 - 15 minutes at 200C | 400F, or in the oven for 10 minutes wrapped in foil, and 10 minutes unwrapped.

Notes

This baguette garlic bread is best served immediately, hot from the oven when the cheese and butter are deliciously melty.
If the bread is looking golden and crunchy, and the butter has melted, before the cooking time is up, remove it from the oven. Don’t let the garlic bread cook for so long that the bread darkens and burns.
