This delicious and easy hot spinach dip recipe is the perfect dip for game day, parties, or any occasion you want to bring a sharing dish everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 300 g frozen spinach
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 300 g cream cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 100 g shredded cheese mix cheddar + red leicester
  • 50 g shredded mozzarella

Method

  1. Add the oil to a frying pan on low heat and add the frozen spinach. Stir to coat the blocks in the oil, then cover the pan and leave the frozen spinach to steam for 5 minutes.
    1 tbsp olive oil, 300 g frozen spinach
  2. Once the spinach has thawed, remove as much liquid from the pan as possible, then return it to the heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute or two.

  4. Leave the spinach to cool for a few minutes, then add the seasonings, sour cream, cream cheese, and cheese mix. Stir everything together.
    200 g sour cream, 300 g cream cheese, salt and pepper, 100 g shredded cheese mix
  5. Transfer to an ovenproof dish or bread bowl if using, and top with the mozzarella.
    50 g shredded mozzarella
  6. Grill for 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown on top. Serve with tortilla chips, croutons, or vegetable sticks.
