  • 10 small-medium potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Paprika Smashed Potatoes

Step 1: Parboil and Prep

Preheat your oven to 220°C. Parboil the potatoes for about 15 minutes, just until they’re slightly beyond fork-tender.

While the potatoes are cooking, mix together the olive oil, smoked paprika, onion salt, oregano, rosemary, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

Step 2: Coat and Smash

Drain the parboiled potatoes and let them cool slightly. Coat the potatoes in half of the seasoning mix.

Place the coated potatoes on a baking tray and gently smash them using a flat-bottomed glass or a potato masher.

Step 3: Roast to Perfection

Top the smashed potatoes with the remaining spice mix. Add the roasted garlic cloves to the baking tray. Roast the potatoes for 20 minutes, then remove the garlic cloves.

Continue roasting the potatoes for an additional 15 minutes until they’re gloriously crispy.

Step 4: Prepare the Zesty Yogurt Dip

While the potatoes are roasting, squeeze the roasted garlic out of its skin and smash it into a paste.

In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped parsley, tahini, and the smashed garlic paste. Stir until the dip is well-mixed and creamy.

Step 5: Final Touches

Once the potatoes are out of the oven, drizzle them with the honey and white vinegar mixture for a touch of sweetness and acidity.

Plate up the crispy smashed potatoes and serve them alongside the zesty yogurt dip. Get ready to savor each bite as you dip the potatoes into the creamy, tangy yogurt sauce.

Expert Tip: For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan or crumbled feta cheese over the potatoes just after roasting for some epic cheese goodness.
